About the Artist
Alan's work has many design themes but his "Stacking Rings" have become his signature pieces. Most of these are made to commission and are individual to the client. The series evolves as Alan experiments with new settings and stone combinations. The "Diamond Bridge" feature with its row of small precious stones provides a spectacular central focus that visually ties the separate bands together. He is currently working on a series of bolder Stacking rings designed specifically for lovers of silver. The appeal of Alan's engagement and wedding ring sets is the combination of precious metals, use of texturing to add surface interest and stone settings that allow the engagement ring to fit snugly against the wedding band. Alan's "Pevsner" rings are individual designs with bold settings, specifically configured to show off large stones to their best advantage.More recent developments are of large textured forms, known as the "Munich muse" series of necklaces which combine large bold shapes in silver or gold complimented by a single large stone or figurative element. These developments are continually evolving.
