Contemporary Jewellery direct from the leading contemporary jewellery designers

My collection of silverware explores form and pattern with both traditional metal hand raising techniques and spinning.  Hollow silver forms are hand decorated using a small steel chasing tool.  Chasing allows me to work the annealed metal surface, carefully hammering along the objects exterior leaving behind the struck marks that gradually when repeated make up the desired pattern.  The natural distortion of the metal and form that occurs during this process is intriguing and is paramount in my design development; each piece from the collection is connected by this process.
The inspirations for my chased patterns derive from photography which is fundamental in my design development. Printmaking and drawing allow me to 
translate and refine sections of my photography into the quality of line captured within my silversmithing.
