Artist's Statement
Fiona developed her illustrative style whilst studying at Manchester School of Art followed by a years post-graduate development at Bishopsland Educational Trust.
The creative prcoess begins with her sketchbook. Elements are selected from her drawings, and with care and consideration, each leaf or petal is hand pierced and built up into a three dimensional form.
Her 'Garland', 'Ivy & Orange blossom' and 'Forget-me-not' collections reference flowers selected for their traditional uses to adorn the body, and values that time have bestowed upon them.
A desire to create jewellery that will last a lifetime continues to push Fiona's creativity and love of working with precious metals
