About Holly Clifford
Encompassing ideas from outside the realm of jewellery, Holly’s work draws inspiration from illustration; great painters such as Monet and Klimt, alongside the ethereal quality of glasshouses. Working in silver, gold & eco-resin, she combines traditional skills with modern making techniques, developing innovative collections of work with strong botanical themes.
Her work is vivid and bold, yet has a delicate feel. Colourful paintwork is encased inside layers of eco-resin, creating incredible depth within the forms. Brushstrokes and mark making are celebrated, exploring the beauty of the unintentional. No two pieces are ever the same – each is its own unique item of wearable art.
After graduating from Birmingham School of Jewellery in 2016, Holly now holds a studio within Sheffield’s Yorkshire Artspace building, The Persistence Works.
