About Lucy Martin
Lucy creates jewellery that is sleek, colourful and distinctive, working boldly with contrast and asymmetry. Collectors of Lucy’s work appreciate it’s combination of both strength and femininity.
Inspired by Modernist design, forms are pared-back to a luxurious simplicity which allows the natural qualities of the gemstones to shine. Blackened silver and brushed gold surround individually selected stones in bold and unusual colours which are combined to accentuate their tone, texture and cut.
Materials are selected with great care; Lucy often travels to visit suppliers in the UK and abroad to source those that meet her standards of uniqueness and quality. Each piece of jewellery is then handmade in her London studio using traditional techniques.
Trained at Birmingham School of Jewellery and Central St. Martins, Lucy established her London workshop in 2002 within Cockpit Arts Deptford.
