Artist's Statement
Talented young jewellery designer Milena Kovanovic set up her eponymous label soon after graduating from Central Saint Martin’s. Her highly acclaimed pieces have attracted numerous commissions and press attention, epitomising style, originality and opulence. Each jewel is designed and created in her London studio using the finest materials and gemstones. Producing both limited edition collections and one of a kind pieces in gold, silver and precious stones.
Influenced by the visual references of art, photography and the natural world, Milena’s designs are constantly developing in fresh and new directions.
Natural forms and textures play an important part in her handcrafted pieces, which often explore form, tactility and colour.
A self confessed hoarder of all things quirky who took an early interest in science and antiquity, Milena turned her lifelong passion for gemstones into a career by qualifying as a gemmologist. She uses her expertise in stones to further enhance her designs into original and wearable jewellery.
