About

The objects we handle every day have significance to us, whether they are chosen for their function, colour, shape or material. Especially the objects used in connection with dining. The way we interact with objects and how we use them is what I find interesting.

Looking at the properties needed to perform a certain action, I explore the function through form. Working with the object as an action, looking at the basics of functionality, I try to communicate and cause interaction through shape and surface.

As a designer/silversmith I find silver, is a very effective media to express the values of contemporary society. I try to achieve this through the kind of objects I make, reflecting the context in which they might appear, their functionality and aesthetics.

The concept of construction in any object, be it an organism, material or vegetation, is of great inspiration to me. I find the way the structure of different units can create form, volume and space very interesting.
Using complex construction principles with traditional silversmithing techniques, I create objects for the table that explore the malleability and organic nature of silver.
