Artist's statement
Small batches and one off pieces of jewellery concentrating on form, texture, colour , surface pattren and mark making. Due to the processes used ,enamelling, anodising and surface embellishing with various components, each and every piece is unique. The use of the kiln in the enamelling for over firing and oxidation along with speckling and also some hand painted elements means that each piece evolves as it is being created, sometimes the pieces are fired over and over again creating layers of interest. I love the accent of 24ct gold foil which appears on most of my pieces fired into the last layer of the enamel, like the full stop at the end of a sentence
