Artist's Statement
My inspiration comes from the metal itself and the process of folding and forging. My work is in the National Museums of Scotland Collection and famous buyers include Dame Judi Dench.
Back in the workshop after a break of five years spent bringing up two little boys my work continues to develop. I enjoy pushing the metals to the limits. Materials include brass, copper, white metal (unhallmarked silver) and gold leaf. The forms are based on spirals and curves. Each piece is individually hammered.
