Fiona's Work
Fiona DeMarco's exquisite hand-crafted jewellery evolves as she works directly with the materials themselves. Constantly exploring and continually discovering new variations often using a recurring element. Each piece has its own identity, although each piece is derived from the same principle.
There is an emphasis on organic forms rather than rigid structures. Irregularity in shape and the tactile element of movement and play keeps the jewellery spontaneous and lively rather than uniform.
Fiona's jewellery features intricate yet dynamic clusters of hand-forged wire specialising in 18ct yellow gold and silver using a variety of finishes (white satin, polished and oxidised). These antenna-like constructions have been likended to musical notes.
