Five gold rings
Jeremy G Hicks’ latest collection of innovative jewellery designs includes the distinctive ‘Five Gold Rings’ band, inspired by the popular festive carol, the Twelve Days of Christmas. The piece will provide an original and emotive gift for a loved one at Christmas.
The design comprises five separate rings that have been hand-made to marry together, giving the impression of one solid band. A particularly special feature of the design allows each ring to incorporate a secret, whether it is a precious stone or an intimate inscription or sentiment.
The ring can be crafted in one gold or combinations of red, yellow, green and white gold, depending on the individual commission. "Each hand-made ring is designed to express the feelings and emotion held between two people and can be tailored to an individual’s personal request. The ring has been engineered to combine an aesthetic appeal as well as functionality."
Creative talent and engineering excellence are the hallmarks of Jeremy G Hicks’ jewellery designs. He is established in the retail market, including a presence in Selfridges, and also enjoys considerable success with his original private commissions. Jeremy’s distinctive approach combines innovative, hand-made jewellery designs with personal sentiment. As a result, he has secured a large portfolio of clients for his one-off commissions.
As a self-employed jeweller, Jeremy has embarked on several projects. He established a co-operative retail outlet and workshop in Brighton in 1989 called Eclectic, which combined jewellery, textiles and furniture design. In 1996, Jeremy was commissioned to design and produce the name badges for staff at the popular London eatery, Wagamama’s.
His talent also resides in the classroom, sharing his experiences and knowledge of jewellery design as a part-time adult education teacher in the London boroughs of Kensington and Chelsea, Lewisham, Richmond-upon-Thames and Westminster. Demonstrations and workshops to show Jeremy’s work most recently include The White Gallery, Brighton and The Bluecoat Display Centre, Liverpool.
