About the Artist
The inspiration for Natalie's work is drawn from many different sources including modern architecture, geometric forms and astrology. A project investigating light, reflection and movement during her degree at Loughborough University also continues to influence her choice of stones and metals today.
Natalie likes to incorporate the rich, vibrant colours of the stones and beads into pieces of contemporary and wearable jewellery, which show off their beauty in a subtle way, always ensuring the stones remain the focal point. Traditional jewellery making techniques are used to create both one-off pieces and ranges of jewellery in silver, 18 and 22k gold. The simplicity of Natalie's style coupled with a high standard of craftsmanship ensure pieces can be worn for many years.
Through working alongside a jeweller in London after a postgraduate year at Bishopsland workshops, Natalie gained confidence and experience working with platinum and precious stones. This enables her to offer clients a bespoke engagement and wedding ring service and also welcomes the opportunity to re-make or re-set clients stones into new, more contemporary pieces.
