Artist's statement
About Dagmar
Originally from Germany, she came to the UK to develop her early passion for creating jewellery. After graduating in Designed Jewellery and Metalwork, she followed through with an intensive post-graduate course in technical and business studies. This training gave her the basis that she needed to succeed in the jewellery world.
Her Studio is based in Oxfordshire, where she designs & creates all her work by hand.
About her work
She works mainly in silver and gold, along with precious and semi-precious stones. Together, the subtle metal finishes and the brilliant colours combine to create elegant visual detail.
She enjoys the sentimental value that a bespoke piece creates, knowing that it will always be there as a reminder of a special time.
The Dahlia Collection uses an unusual mixture of white finished silver and gold to create a subtle and elegant colour statement. Formed by fusing a multitude of miniature petals, Dahlia speaks of the abundance and fullness found in organic structures. Through its handcrafted creation each and every piece becomes beautifully unique.
