Artist's Statement
My work explores the relationship between a 5000 year old hand-crafted technique, filigree, and a modern emerging technology, 3D printing. Through my research I'm discovering how successfully and effectively these different techniques complement, enrich each other and I'm also pushing the boundaries of this craft through contemporising its application and design. This collection keeps our artistic heritage alive and encompasses the soul of the past and present in each piece.
