About Liz Willis
Liz Willis is a contemporary jeweller, using silver and hand stitched silk threads to add layers of colour and texture to her work. Liz works with found objects that she collects from mudlarking along the River Thames. She particularly likes those everyday objects, such as dress pins and copper nails, that have been made by the hands of past generations centuries ago in the days before mechanisation. They have had a previous life and use. By working on them with her own hands to make them wearable, Liz adds a new chapter in their history.
