About Olivia Taylor
Inspired by her time exploring the art islands in Japan. Olivia brings together the hard concrete shapes and rippling water from the structures she visited to create organic, timeless pieces.
The Ondulée collection - launched in August 2020 - is a continuation of Olivia’s debut Degree Show collection. Each piece has her signature Ondulée design which catches the light beautifully. Every piece is hand made by Olivia herself using ethically sourced precious metals and recycled silver, and therefore each individual piece is exclusive and special.
Olivia is interested in the metamorphose of materials, the transient nature of formed metal; how an old silver brooch can be transformed into a molten ingot and further reshaped into a new pair of earrings. To be environmentally conscious in her design process she recycles every piece of offcut. She then transforms them into new pieces, giving the piece new purpose, creating very little waste.
Since graduating, Olivia’s work has featured in Retail Jeweller, The Evening Times, The Herald and Tatler.
