TERRI CAMPBELL

Terri Campbell is a recent graduate from Edinburgh College of Art.

Her jewellery is inspired by her home in the Scottish countryside. Using precious metals alongside other materials, such as horn, allows her to create bold and unique pieces of wearable jewellery.

Artist's Statement

My inspiration is taken from my home environment. Living on a farm in South-West Scotland I am surrounded by the natural beauty of my country that has influenced me thoughout my life. Organic shapes, nature and man-made forms found around the farm help inform my studio practice.

Using materials found around the farm, such as animal horn and wool, allow me to create a greater connection between my home and the jewellery I make. I like to combine these usually traditionally used materials with precious metals to give them a fresh approach. The contrast in colour and texture in these materials help give my work a sense of the environment where they were sourced.
